Let’s rewind the clock…
I spent the first decade of my career in Adult Education, quickly getting more and more responsibility and title bumps, until, like most nonprofit professionals, I burned out (burnout story here).
So, as a 97% extrovert that had already raised over $1mil in grants and private donor gifts, I transitioned into the next best things… FUNDRAISING!
But, as we all know, you can never wear just one hat if you work in nonprofits.
Fast forward a few years…
I became the director of PR and Development and significantly grew (think 10x+) brand awareness, donor base, and fundraising results - all with a degree in philosophy and writing!
And, even at that time I knew I could make more of an impact, so I launched a company (Grit HQ) that provided outsourced fundraising and marketing for dozens of nonprofits. And, if I’m going to be honest… for 5 years in business, we really rocked it for our client. We quadrupled fundraiser income, doubled social media following, and launched new nonprofits - all to expand the message, support, and IMPACT!
